Is350 Center Vents

I cannot close the center air vents completely. The knobs don't turn all the way down to close the vents, they stop halfway, so air keeps blowing through. Other vents close fine. Is this normal?

Mine do this as well. I believe it is normal.

There's a separate knob for opening and closing. The slats themselves are only for directing the flow.

I never understood why Lexus didn't make them closable like the side ones. Normally, I drive alone and just point them to the passenger seat.

why have the air con on at all if your going to turn them off?

you must have it on for some other passenger then...in which you point it to their direction

I checked my IS350 this afternoon and the little roller knobs will close the center vents off completly.
