zozobear330@comcast.net
I just bought a new ES350 with stock 215x55 tires. When they wear out I'd like to go to a wider size and, possibly, a deeper sidewall--say 60 series. I'd like to stay with 17 inch wheels. Does anyone know how much wider and deeper I could go? Thanks. Scott I'm curious as to why you would want to make this type of tire change? :)
Toysrme
Taller the sidewall, the more the tire absorbs. Doesn't make since with a width increase, as the taller the sidewall, the less grip, and more prone 2 rolling over. You're also going to throw the accuracy of the ECU off. (You're trying to cheat afew miles off the re-le when ya sell it lmao!) AFA width. Measure the actual width of the rim & get back to us 'cause dude the car's been out since late april - nobody knooooows LoL! camlex
When Toyota Engineers choose those tires, I am sure they have reason. Why you wants to change? Hope that helps.
