Schultz
Hello! My baby shows me that a version of my navigation database is '98. Dealership offers me an update for $500 Is there any other ways? Please, mail me schultz__@hotmail.com
BA.
they are FLAT RIPPING YOU OFF!! (or trying to anyway) My (new to me) 99 is OUT OF WARRANTY and I just got mine for free! (a little bit of luck perhaps) My last update was from June 1998 also,........the original,......and now I am at Sept. 2002. Under warranty it should be free, otherwise, it's up to them. $500 is ridiculus though. My local shop only had my car for about 3 hours and it was done. not sure how much of that was actual work time though. I did overhear something about a "hard-drive" though. :whistles:
Schultz
Man, I really do not have a choice, you know. No one offered me something cheaper. I'd love to buy stuff! It turned out that they are damn slizy - the warranty offers 2 free software updates BUT FOR THE ORIGINAL OWNER ONLY, who I am not. So I keep looking for the DVD with no luck
SW03ES
Its not a DVD, its a hard drive. The entire peice of hardware has to be replaced, thats why its so costly. The systems after 2001 are DVD based, and the DVD is still $250.
z2die4
You can also get a Hard Drive update from most lexus dealers for around $250.
