bbsal Posted August 5, 2003 Posted August 5, 2003 very true.if you drive it normally it can shift to 4th by like 40mph.floor it all the way and it wont shift till 90.as for saying speed is good for the car its true to some extent.i said i wouldnt recommend pushing the car past 120 alot not driving 80 or 90.driving 90 alot wont hurt the car much at all but driving it at high speeds of 120 plus will eventully kill the car thats for sure.it only good for the car once in a while to blow out the carbon but not to drive it all the time like that.thats what i meant to say.lol
NeiLtYmE Posted August 5, 2003 Posted August 5, 2003 besides... when your going that fast your runnin at what... 5000 + rpm's it may clean the fuel likes ... but stressing the engine like that so long.... no so great..
SKperformance Posted August 6, 2003 Posted August 6, 2003 i would rather clean out the carbon i feel stop and go traffic is more ause to an engine tons of heat and opposite forces every few seconds and bbsal we are still waiting for the dyno results funny enough i was just thinking abuot that today to ask you i have gotten to 210 km and it would not go anymore that was when i was pretty bone stock last attemp i went to 200 km but had to slow down and it felt much better ,more stable and the brakes could keep up now to slow me down before with stock rims suspension and brakes i felt like i was floating and gonig to lose control of the car if the wind pushed much i am not sure if the full advantage of overdrive would be reached as the throttle would be WOT ( wide open throttle) thus keeping the TC ( torque convertor) from being activated just a thought sorry not sure what that stuff in miles is
SW03ES Posted August 6, 2003 Posted August 6, 2003 Agree, stop and go driving is MUCh harder on the engine than speed.

SKperformance Posted August 7, 2003 Posted August 7, 2003 well you could alway take it out send it to me and i would dyno it and send it back since i would have a before and after dyno spec :D
chillaxin Posted August 7, 2003 Posted August 7, 2003 i've hit 130 in my car, would've kept going up to 140 except i was approaching a group of cars ahead of me fast, and since it was at night, i didn't want to end up speeding by a cop at that speed, hahaha :P
