redhawks2
Hello...is there an easy, safe way to clean an engine such as in my '90 LS400? I know high pressure is out and it doesn't look like wiping it down will do much in a lot of areas. Thanks.
SKperformance
i use high pressure all the time when i clean the engine i just cover the alternator i use a good degreaser most are good anyway then cover the alt with a plastic bag and wait 10 minutes for it to degrease and tehn wash it off looks great and then use a finishing spray it is like a clear coat for the engine and looks amazing plus repels any new dirt i should have pic of the engine in the es gallery

jzz30
wow! that almost as good as new!! but is high pressure meaninf high pressure water? wont water get to the nuclear reacotor parts?(electrical) or is ok?
VMF
no high pressure in my case, regular engine degreaser by gunk, 15 minute period for degresing, then just washed off with water. started the engine to make sure everythign is working, let it work for 20 mins to speed up the drying process and then applying the co engine deteailer. thats it
thewzdoc
I get "Oil Eater" from COSTCO. You spray it on and hose it off. You don't have to wait at all. It gets the engine, tranny, and all the associated hoses and fittings looking new with little or no effort. Here is a little info on "Oil Eater"
