vyhanh
Hi, Besides the draining coolant problem, I now observe another phenomenon: On the passenger side, when the engine is running, between the belt and the spark plug engine cover, there is a small rubber protrusion near the top from the cover side. This rubber boot produces sparks from iself to the water hose when the engine is cold. When warm, it stops. Any clue? Sorry about the description of the location VH Hope that this attachment works !!!
obergc
Most likely bad sparkplug wiring
SKperformance
I am lost what is the hose connected to the a/c system? What is the 2 long things in the pic ,the valve covers? Is it a fast constant sparking or slow occasional one?
RFeldes
I agree with obergc, more than likely a pinched plug wire you see. When the engine heats up and expands the cover, it creates less pinch.
vyhanh
I am lost what is the hose connected to the a/c system? I forgot what the hose is for but it is big and the sparks jump from the rubber boot to it. What is the 2 long things in the pic ,the valve covers? Yes, they are the covers Is it a fast constant sparking or slow occasional one? Fast to start with and as engine warms up, slows down
