LexKid630
What happens when we sell our cars and we don't "erase" the homelink settings? Does this mean that ANYONE who gets our cars after, us can open our garage's??? I just remembered that i never erased them!! Does the dealer somehow erase them so the next owners can't break into the previous owner's garage? What do you guys think?? Is there a way to "erase" the setting so it won't open "anyone's" garage? What should i do?
steviej
pose the question or search the FAQ on www.homelink.com. I'm sure you are not the first to think of that scenario. steviej
SW03ES
Yes you can erase them, the dealer may or may not do it.
SKperformance
I doubt the dealer will erase it , more than likely the new owner will if they ever figure out how to operate it. It is more likely someone will break a window of your car on your driveway. Once they press the button on the homelink as it is not disabled as it should be when the car is off the garage door in front of it would open. Erasing them is pretty easy ,should be pressing all 3 buttons together.
