If Someone Touched My 6000k Bulb, How Do I Clean?

Dude at autozone let the back of his fingers touch my bulb and stuff, not his fingertips. but i dont want it to blow up or anything, how do i clean it?

When the "dude" touched it you should have brought it to his attention [ like he didn't know ] and asked for a replacement. I take it that you were at the store replacing the bulbs in the parking lot? You could always bring it back and request another one. Or clean it with alcohol and keep your fingers crossed. It probably will be the first bulb to go in the future. [ just a guess ] Good Luck and keep us posted on this. :cheers:

Nope couldn't ask for a replacement, I had them shipped in last week from superhids.com. They shipped it really quickly too to my surprise, I wiped it down with an alcohol wipe. the lights look really good.

I can tell you what they use for other Xenon or high intensity bulbs. Its "denatured" alcohol. I thinks thats how you spell it. The regular rubbing alcohol is not as pure. The denatured stuff is sold at many electronics/electrical repair or parts stores. This is what I used on 10K xenons and 20k halogens for motion picture lighting. Good luck, hope this helps.
