Deluxe247 Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Sorry, I am new to the forum and this has been more than likey covered in some area of the forum but I have searched long enough. I have the 2005 IS300. Lexus says I need to use premium Gas, but with Gas prices this high I wont be able to drive this thing around. Is there any kind of void of warranty or damage to the car that can be done by usinf 87 instead of 91? I owned a GTI before this car and have always run Syn Oil. What oil would you all suggest? Does anyone have any tricks that can increase gas milage? Other than the standard Cold Air intake or exhaust upgrade. Has anyone tried the Typhoon thinf that sits in the air passage behind the air filter? Havent heard many reviews on it. thanks this forum is amazing.
steviej Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 please try using the SEARCH function as your gas and oil questions are asked on an at least monthly basis. steviej
bartkat Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Regular gas vs high test is going to save you 1 cent per mile, if you are still getting the same MPG. Gimicks don't work, Typhoon included. Save that money and spend it on gas.
