Hi Folks

I am an owner of ES300 '97 - 92K miles and lately it has been eating engine oil. When I get my engine oil changed - about 1 - .5 quart is missing. Also when I measure oil between my oil chnages I see 1-.5 quart missing.

Any ideas as to what should I do? What may be wrong?

Regards

Kapil

Yup, you just might have a sluddged or gelled engine. Do a search on engine gelling & you will learn more. B)

If sludge do an oil test or pull the valve covers.

Also the oil you select makes a HUGE difference. Some Noack ratings are low as 5 and other over 16!

Bad rings, ultra worn valve stem seals.

Plus every external oil seal if you look at the bottom of the car between the wheels & see little oil drips.
