Miles/kms Till Empty

i have a 98 gs400 and just wondering roughly how many kms or miles i should expect left on the tank once the gas light comes on?

or if anyone knows how many litres or gallons left once light comes on

most cars usually have a reserve of 2 gallons once the low gas warning light comes on...but u shouldn't try to push it....i did that once and ended up waiting for 2 hours for AAA to show up!!

Also when you drive with low gas all the dirt on the bottom of the tank gets sucked up, not that good for the car if its old

I have a 300 and when the low fuel light comes on and I fill it up it only takes 15 gallons in a tank that is 19.8 gal. So 4.8 gal. to go. I have never run it down to the E mark.

I've run it down to 'E' and I think a little below, though not by choice. You might have a gallon or more at 'E' but I wouldn't push it.

That's about the same as my 06 430.

The trip computer shows "miles to empty"...and when I'm at "0"...and fill-up..It takes about 15 gallons. I wish this were more accurate.

I think this is by design so when your low fuel light comes on you have about 100 miles or so to get petro.
