  1. same problem here. 06 GS430. good to know I'm not alone. I'll be taking it in this week. dh in KC
  2. I'm having the same trouble with my GS430 and Blackberry....but I can't even figure out which key to push to send a single phone entry. Can anyone give me the blackberry keystroke sequence?
  3. What's the contact information for the guy in SoCal that does this for $150?
  4. My Verizon-powered Blackberry Bluetooth device allows me to go hands-free in my '06 -- but I haven't figured out how to upload my phone book (Outlook).
  5. That's about the same as my 06 430. The trip computer shows "miles to empty"...and when I'm at "0"...and fill-up..It takes about 15 gallons. I wish this were more accurate.
  6. As far as any "set-up" -- I don't recall doing any in my '06 GS430. Loaded CD's (as noted earlier), hit "play", and enjoyed. Going into the Audio section, and hitting surround as noted earlier....changes the accoustics. I enjoy the sound system in the car. Really comes alive when you get into volume settings 40+...and play a bit with the equalizer.
  7. I was surprised to discover that you can't hard-key enter names/addresses into the vehicle's phone book(?!!). The only way to get entires into phone book is download from bluetooth phone. Since I'm working off a Blackberry with Bluetooth, and have 1,500 contacts, I can't fully download all contacts into the system. Short-sighted. I2D
  8. For those wondering -- 20" x 8-1/2 wheels fit fine on the '06 GS430. Also, put 245 x 35 x 20 Nitto tires on these rims, which results in about 1" taller profile on this wheel/tire combo. Fits fine. Looks pretty sharp. Added benefit to going to this 1" taller set-up is that it has fully corrected, the 2.5 MPH error I was seeing on my speedo (speedo has been showing 2.5 MPH faster than actual (as measured by handheld GPS). Speedo reading and reading via GPS is spot-on. FYI.
  9. I've had my '06 GS430 for 1-1/2 weeks. I cross-shopped this vehicle with the BMW, Infiniti and Mercedes. All I can say is the GS430 continues to meet, and sometimes exceed, my expectations. This is the first luxury vehicle I've purchased...and so far, I couldn't be happier. The ride, the interior, the accelleration...and world-class in my book. I2D
