matan1
Hi We took our car to the first Auto Electrician to have the bulbs replaced in the dash cluster. Since then the Airbag Light stays on and we cannot get our Warrant of Fitness. First auto elec. couldn't figure out the answer. The car is now at the secong auto elec. who still can't figure out how to get it to turn off. Been there four days now! Reading other peoples notes - should the battery have been disconnected before the dash cluster was taken out. If so, will it work if we try this tomorrow? What is the trick to this? Please be specific, we really need this problem fixed. Thanks to all Anne

Do a search in the ES forums and you will find how to reset the airbag, I think I read a post on it. I'm not awake yet or I would search for you. I think your srs is offline and has to be reset at the dealer. Call them and see what they have to say. Good Luck
obergc
Your problem is definitely caused by removing instrument cluster with the battery connected. Go here for information on how to reset light, piece of cake. http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/lighting/airbaglight.html
SKperformance
Unless of course you always had a problem but with no SRS bulb you would never know. Get a dealer or a competent technician to use a scan tool to find the exact problem you are having.

Go here for information on how to reset light, piece of cake.http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/lighting/airbaglight.html ← Wow obergc! You solved our problem. I printed it off and took it to the auto elec. and he sorted it today and now we have our warrant of fitness. Thank you so so much for taking the time to help us. Now the odometer has set itself 60,000 km ahead of where the old one on the other dash cluster was at. Are we able to somehow reset it to what it should be. Does the computer remember that?
