jcbmrtn Posted August 31, 2005 Posted August 31, 2005 Hello, I'm thinking about picking up a 98 GS400. It has 98k miles on it. and it's coming from an auto auction....service records are probably not available. I was wondering if there is any way to tell if the timing belt has already been replaced. I would hate to pay the big $$ if was already done past 10k miles. Any pointers? Thanks

You can try having the dealer run the vin# and bring up service history. :D
