daffy Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Hi All, I just repainted my 1991 Ls400 because of rust starting around the wheel wells. If you want to keep your older Ls400 lasting longer, I would highly recommend Rust Check or some other way of preventing this annoying rust from starting. I just got my car back and it is now looking good again. So are there any better ways of preventing rust other than Rust Check? Daffy
SKperformance Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Rust check is great but the number one prevention is to use a power washer 2 times a month. On my 94 ES i used to go to a power washer and spray the crap out of it under and inside the wheel wells every other weekend. I still have no rust and it has never been rust treated. Also make sure the paint is kept waxed
nc211 Posted August 16, 2005 Posted August 16, 2005 Or move down south, where there is no salt! Well, except on the rim of your Margaritta glass that is. Just my smart*ss comment of the month :whistles:
