I need to replace Catalytic converter on my es. I called up the dealer and they're asking $1300 just for the part. Is this a reasonable price? Are there any othere places where i can get replacement parts cheaper? :(

That is the price alright. I paid CAD$430 for mine...but if I had the money I would go with the original since it is quieter.

Common load of sh¡t from dealers.

Ebay a 2 1/4", or 2 1/2" cat for $40-$50usd. Take it to an exhaust shop & have them weld it in for $50-150usd.

I tried to do that here in Toronto but all the shops (total of 3 (speedy, midas, cantires) I went to refused to do that...saying it will rust off too fast.
