2006 Gs430 Actual Hp

HI all

can anyone tell me what is the actual hp of the GS430. I am from Kuwait when i bought my 2004 LS430 i was told that the hp is around 340 and i fully agree , the car is fast , but with the 2006 GS430 it's around 280hp, and i know for sure the GS is faster than the LS. can anyone tell me what is going on.

in the US the LS is 290 and the GS is 300

Some cars have to follow strict emmisson rules other have larger tarrifs on different displacments and fuel economy.
