Sidemarker Lights

quick question

my sidemarkers on my 98 gs4 dont light up when i signal to change lanes. they also do not light up when i hit the lock function or when i have hazards on.

are they there purely for asthetics? are they simply reflectors? or could i possibly have a burnt out fuse??

i have had this problem since i bought the car so i guess i always assumed they were just reflectors.

Try and be more specific on location.

the side marker lights at the front of the car on the front 1/4 panel. infront of the wheel closer to the headlights on the front 1/4 panel

FYI 1/4 panels are only used on the rear 1/4 of the car

The front body panels are called fenders.

The only reflector i can think of is below the headlight on the corner of the bumper not the fender ?

And yes, the ones down there do light up while also being an orange reflector using a 194 bulb.

More than likely someone didn't plug them back in <_<

Those side markers light up but only when you turn on your headlights or parking lights. However they do not serve as turn signals.
