Question About Door Locks, When Using Keys

I noticed something weird the other day on my 2000 LS400, when I used my key to unlock the doors

Driver's door: to LOCK, I turn LEFT and to UNLOCK I turn RIGHT

Passengers doos: to LOCK, I turn RIGHT and to UNLOCK I turn LEFT

Now this is totally opposite of one another, is there something I am missing. It looks like the passenger side is correct in my opinion. Tell me what you guys think

It is in regards to the actuator for the locks.

you turn towards the lock inside the door by the inner handle to lock and pull the rod away to unlock.

very normal
