Jacob Posted August 1, 2005 Share Posted August 1, 2005 Hello everyone, I’m in the processes of changing my timing belt but I’m not able to align the installation mark on the timing belt and the one on the crankshaft pulley. It’s always off by one step. Am I missing something? I pulled out the pulley and looked for other marks but couldn’t find any. blake918 Posted August 2, 2005 Share Posted August 2, 2005 Take this with a grain of salt, but we put the crank at 0 and matched the 2 cams with their markings on the block, and it worked. How did it turn out for you, and do you have any recommendations to make my upcoming job easier? Did your belt fail? Mine apparently jumped a tooth while in my garage.
