LexKid630 Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 It has to be money.... why would anyone buy a 300 over a 430?? The better gas mileage?? = MONEY LOL
LexKid630 Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 well rnt they diff. prices? ← Yeah the difference in $$$ from the GS300 and GS430 is a lot.

LexKid630 Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 well there you go...lex not all of us r fortunate enought to but wat ever we want....(that was not directed 2 u btw) ← i know LOL...I'm just saying i would rather have the 430 over the 300..that's all ;)
indiasfinest Posted August 4, 2005 Author Posted August 4, 2005 o ic ic..jeeze weve been replyin to each others comments 4 the past half hour kinda like a chatroom lol
Lexusfreak Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Have you made a 'short list' of vehicles your seriously considering india? B)
SW03ES Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 The STS is a sedan ;) ← yea i no..but i dont like GM...it doesnt appeal 2 me... ;) ← Niether do I but you should drive one, its not your typical Cadillac. Why does Cadillac need the CTS, STS and CTS-V?? Duplication??? CTS is poor-man's STS?? Why does Lexus need a GS and an IS? Because the CTS is $20,000 less than the STS. The CTS-V is $20,000 less than the STS-V. The CTS is sportier and appeals to a different market. As for the GS300, they sell way more GS300s than GS430s. Its all about having vehicles that appeal to a wide spectrum of buyers. The BMW 5 series has THREE engines.

I do have to say that BMW went a little overboard on the 5 series LOL
SW03ES Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 I don't think so at all, there's a model for everyone. The light and nimble 525, the heavier and slower but more luxurious 530, and the all out 545.
91L3xus Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 They also are now available with X-Drive AWD, which makes a BMW 5 Series more appealing to someone living in a snowy climate, also reaching out to more customers. This is in contrast to some of the smaller Lexuses, like the IS and ES, which are not offered with AWD, but the new GS models are. It's hard to tell what the competition of a 5 Series is; the ES would compare to the 3 Series, and the LS would compare to the 7 Series. I guess the new GS is the 5 Series' new opponent.
SW03ES Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Actually the ES doesn't compare to the 3 series at all, the IS does. The ES is actually larger than the 5 series. The LS also is a little too small to truly compete with the 7 series. Lexus' lineup is kind of odd.

The ES is actually bigger on the inside than the GS believe it or not. Well i'm not sure about the cubic feet, but the ES "feels" a little less cramped.
LexKid630 Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Its definately larger than the GS. ← Before i ever sat in a GS i always thought it was between the ES and LS in size.... I was wrong ;) I don't know why i thought that.
91L3xus Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Are you talking about the new GS Lex, or the 2005 that you just bought?
LexKid630 Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Are you talking about the new GS Lex, or the 2005 that you just bought? ← Both. The new GS is a tiny bit bigger but i think it's still smaller than the ES330.
