Abear Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 First question. I was just informed that aftermarket HID's are illegal, is this true? Second. Would i need to get projector lights or are the stock lights ok? One of my friends is telling me they are illegal, but to me I dont see a reason for them to be. If any of you guys know this, please enlighten me.

It is because too many people added them without a proper housing or alignment of the lights so the beam patterns where way off and blinged people. HID systems are made with specific bulbs ballasts and housings some even have motors to move the bulbs up and down when going over bumps as to not blind other drivers.
