VMF Posted July 6, 2003 Posted July 6, 2003 ive been looking for prices for spark plugs and found out that there are 2 companies out there, almost actually one company as i understood, and they both have iridium plugs i need but with a price difference, so now i'm lost. which one should i get? does any1 has any experience with them?
jzz30 Posted July 7, 2003 Posted July 7, 2003 i think ND came out with them first a few years back. i remember seeing an ad in a dealership in japan. but as far as which company i think ND is oem to lexus so i would use them
VMF Posted July 7, 2003 Author Posted July 7, 2003 just got 8 denso IK 20 spark plugs for 90$ thanks for advice
ToddLS400 Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 NGK plugs in all of my vehicles (Lexus & Suzuki GSXR) except my '87 Ford Truck and boat. NGK makes the best plug on earth. It's worth the $. I'm putting NGK's in my boat this weekend. I don't care about the old truck's plugs. Don't drive it enough. It's for pulling the boat and hauling stuff.
SKperformance Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 the denso's are real pricey but are good for the forced induction engines but minimal differences in any others ngk's are also good
jzz30 Posted July 8, 2003 Posted July 8, 2003 how much were the ND plugs compared to the NGK? do you feel a difference??
VMF Posted July 8, 2003 Author Posted July 8, 2003 85$ for the set of 8 ND and 65 for the set of 8 NGK both of the them are iridium
jzz30 Posted July 9, 2003 Posted July 9, 2003 when there is a price differenc like that i usually buy the more expensive ones because they cost more for a reason right? i may be wrong but i can say mine cost more :P do you feel a difference in performance at all???
VMF Posted July 9, 2003 Author Posted July 9, 2003 i didnt receive them yet:) hopefully i will, i'm changin timigng belt and pulleys and waterpump myself next week i will photograph whole process and keep every updated:)
