Well, my wife has certainly done it this time...Took my wife's 05 Es330 out a few minutes ago to take it to the carwash (first time in 4 months :o ). As i was cleaning the back seat, all the garbage and folders etc. to the roof:censored: , i noticed a 3 inch long scratch in the leather on the rear passengers side seat, on the bottom. It's not deep enough that it went all the way through, just enough to spearate the 2 sides and get your fingernail in between.

She obviously has no idea how it happened  and she said to just leave it..yeah right...

There is also a coffee stain on the front passengers side carpet...I can get this out though...

So how do i fix this? Please tell me i don't have to get the whole back re-done! Thanks

I wouldn't worry about it too much......try using some leather conditioner & protector to see if that helps. If the leather is not actually torn, I don't think there is very much one can do anyways (for not a lot of money anyways). Over time, it will 'blend' in with the rest of the interior I'm betting from a wear & tear standpoint. B) Don't sweat the small stuff Lex. ;)

The coffee stain should be able to come out with a proper (perhaps 'industrial' strength) carpet cleaner. Perhaps even have it 'steam cleaned' & use a could can of 3M scotch guard afterwards (available for a few bucks at Walmart as well as many other retailers). This way, any future spills will clean up easier when attended to fairly quick after the fact. Apply the 3M stuff as per instructions on a nice sunny day & open all the windows & roof to let it dry properly. B)

I guess i cant just leave it...you can't even see anything in the back there's so much junk. and no one ever rides in it; it's just for her to go to work etc.

I think she should get a 2 door lol

What kind of stuff is piled back there? lol

Pretty much everything that belongs in a filing cabinet. Shes an attorney, and has a lot of papers etc. to lug around everywhere. Yet her office is so clean??? LOL

Also anything she needs to carry around obviously...Suits, jackets from the cleaners etc. The hook on the door is no longer attached don't know where it went. I found a few bottles of empty (thank god) soda cans and McDonald's cups (thank my daughter for that) and i also found $10 in change LOL... It's just a mess; i don't know how she can drive around in that car!!! Not like she cares; as long as it has 4 wheels, can accelerate faster than she can walk..it's "just" a car...$40,000 and it's just a car..makes me mad... :o

At least i'm not alone!! LOL

Her Es330 is only 4 months old and 14,355 miles, and looks 5 years and 100,000 miles old!!!...I got the left side re-painted where someone keyed it !!:censored: so it looks a little bit better. But now there are more scratches on the other side LOL...And that stupid white primer makes the blue looks so bad!!!

you should have seen her 2003 Gs430 before she went to this Es330. WOW was that a mess if i ever saw one. I feel bad for the person that got that thing after her!! LOL

I do have to say that the ES330 seems to be holding her abuse better than her 03 GS430 did though.

That's why I suggest to put on a leather conditioner & don't sweat it as you mentioned it's not actually torn, just scratched ;)

I just wish someone could come up with a material that looks and feels like leather but would hold up to ANYTHING...

Oh, do you think pool water can stain the leather??? when ever my daughter and her friends go in our pool, of corse i'm the one driving everyone home and my seats get all wet..errr Just wondering if i'm gonna regret it???

Depends how strong the chlorine is in the water.......a bit of water from a wet bathing suit or damp towel won't hurt that much, but if the leather keeps getting soaked with it & the chlorine content is high.....it will damage & dis-colour the leather. B)

Some leather treatment once every 6 months wouldn't be a bad idea & won't take that long to apply. B)

Pool water will definately hurt the leather, thats why I always put towels down on the seats after a trip to the pool.

As for the scratch nothing can be done about it but replacing the leather unfortunately.

I used the lexol cleaner and conditioner on my LS and Rx330. I'm gonna see how it looks, and determine if i should stick with it on all my cars...

I do worry about every little thing that enters my cars. I'm pretty crazy!!!
