Weird Cold-weather Behavior

Same thing happened to me to one of the rear windows in my '01 ES long time ago when we had freezing rainy weather one time. The next day when the weather dried up, the window works fine. So you just gotta wait it out until the weather gets warmer to get the windows working.

I guess Lexus wasnt really anticipating use in 9 degree weather!  None of my windows will open up!!  They make a quick sound and a very slight motion and then stop and are frozen in place.  Anyone else having this happen?  Or is my car just weak? It's a 97

I have had the same problem in my 93 Lexus, it will start working again when it warms up. If you open the door and give a little push, they will come down.

i have a 98 and been having the same problems in the cold weather. should there be any precautions taken when you know the temps drop below zero besides letting the engine warm up. (add extra oil before start ups, lessen tire pressure for extra traction in the snow?)

we've also been fortunate to have icing on the roads, i normally drive with the trac on but i still have bad slipping, no better if i had if off.

is it suppose to make a clicking sounds when you have the trac on and you begin to slip?

does it do any harm to the engine or the specific component that controls the trac?
