Air Bag Light

my freinds 96 es 300s air bag light just came on and wont go out.he replaced the intrament panel light bulbs and after he did that the light wont go out.i even let him try my intrument cluster and it even stays on on mine.what can it be??

You probably should bring your car to a Lexus Dealer and have the airbag sensor reset. You can't do this yourself!!

you can try unplugging the fuse for the airbag ecu

but it may need a scan tool

from lexus to find why it is registering a trouble code

i bet your friend undid his dash without disconnecting the battery first

i bet your right.i know he didnt because i was with him and also tried my cluster in his but the light still stays on.first he thought it was the bulbs he put in but after he tried mine and seen it was still on he knew it was something else.hes just going to have to take it to the dealer.thanks for the help sk
