I notice considerable body roll on turns and corners in my 92 ES300, can I get a noticeably improved handling by going from factory 15x6 to 16x6 rims? Right now I have Michelin Energy MXVP+ tires.

noticable in that small of a change no

17's yes or 18s definatly

but the springs are the first order of buisness to change they are high on roll

What kind of springs do you suggest? And how much would it cost parts and labor? I don't want the suspension to be too firm, just something in the middle. I don't want to feel all the bumps in the road yet I would like to minimize the body roll.

Also I've heard the michelin x-ones have a stiffer sidewall that most tires. This should also help minimize body roll, if I decide not to change the springs. Right?

your sidewalls would account for maybe 10% of the roll

eibach make a nice kit calle d the pro kit

about 400 installed for the states i am guessing

you can keep the orignal shocks but it is only a 1 inch drop

and a much firmer feel with a smooth ride

Tires won't help body roll much. If you go with just springs without performance shocks, you'll probably just get lots of bounce. Pro Kit springs would be fine, but I'd suggest adding KONI or other adjustable shocks or I don't think you'll be happy with the ride. With Koni Sports you can tune in the ride and handling to suit yourself.

However if you are just going to do one thing, good shocks will help your handling more than just springs or just tires. Judging from the age of the car, it may need shocks anyway.

it is possible

but i feel more of a difference in cornering from a stiffer spring than a stiffer dampener

i just put my kyb's in today with new springs and they are great

much smoother than the eibachs with stock struts

but i did like the ride initally

but i love it more now

How much do the KYB shocks go for? Also are there different types to choose from (damping factor) for the 92 ES300?

Sprins, sway bars and wider tires. all of these would help out the roll problem..

i do not know what the retail price is for them in the US

check a local performance shop

they only make one kind

unless you have servicable struts but i don't think it is in the 92 ones

they are ( as i am told )

one of the smoother shocks for the mcv10 chasiss compared to tokico and others

an alternative might be the monroe sensa trac with new springs

might be cheaper

will 215/55 tires fit on a 16x6 rim? or do I have with a wider rim?

sk, i checked out the kyb website, do you have the Gas-a-Just or the GR2 shocks?
