TurtleWax Extreme Cleaner Wax Paste contains Trilicone, Safe for Clear Coats - Is it Okay to use on a LS400, Pearl white, 1995?

Posted

almost any specified clear coat safe polish is ok to use i have never used that product

i tend to stick with the 3 step products as they can do alot more since tehre is no way a 1 step can do 3 at the same time

which is clean the paint polish it then wax it

just don't use any rubbing compouds it is only for acrylic paint

turtle wax is generic to me. i prefer using something like megauris products. they give me good shine for my car. try www.autopia.org they got everything about car care and products, they really know how to keep a car looking nice.

I use Meguiar's as well. Polish with Number 9 Swirl Remover, and then wax with Number 27 High Tech Yellow. Looks good, lasts really well.

Great tips. I'll go to the web site and research it. A three step process sounds reasonable B)

does any1 know how to get rid of the overspray? there is one big region on my bumper and i have no idea how to get rid of it. i also have some on my trunk and roof.

a clay bar comes with a spray for lubeing the paint at the same time mothers makes a kit

or a high speed buffer to be used with caution and experiance as it can burn through paint

most pros have them and do a whole car for just over 100

plus it will make the whole car look brand new

removing any swirls and minor scratches

for overspray i think the best thing is a clay bar. clay magic makes good clay bars, mothers clay bars do a decent job from what i heard, but clay magic and other brands are much better.

how do i use this clay bar thing? i never did it myself, 2 weeks ago i paid 150$ for a guy to do it for me, and did pretty good job, but there is still some overspray left. Damn i wish i could have find that guy who scratched my fender!!!!!

for 150 you got it painted

or a guy to clay bar the car?

the clay bar is just liek a bar of soap that is made of a soft clay

you spray the paint and just rub it in, and it picks up little particles

for 150 he did a compound and then wax the whole car and painting i got for 400$ for the fender and the door. with this claybar i just apply this bar on the whole car or i should rub it in?

I also agree, Turtle Wax is more of a Target product.

As for the clay bar, the easiest way is to wash the car, rinse the car, then resoap each panel and use the soap as the lube for the claybar, then rinse and dry.

I'm gonna move this to detailing.
