BA. Posted June 11, 2003 Posted June 11, 2003 My local dealer is having computer problems and I'm looking to buy a GS400 with this VIN> JT8BH68X1X0013872 Is there somewhere online to look up details about this VIN? Anything at all really, from options to service records to the previous owners name. Thanks, Allan
bluelex Posted June 11, 2003 Posted June 11, 2003 u could try carfax.com or go 2 yahoo and look up carfax vin#
BA. Posted June 12, 2003 Author Posted June 12, 2003 Thanks Blue. I did pick up a CarFax report and reeeallllly, all it shows me is the date it was first Titled. Nov. 12, 1999, that it was in Los Angeles, and had the same owner until it was AUCTIONED on June 26th, 2002. Oddly, the mileage from June 2002, until now, is the same. :-/ Seems odd to me. I'm curious about servicing, ya know? It's got 82,000 miles.
SKperformance Posted June 12, 2003 Posted June 12, 2003 just got to love technology you can find anything i was going to buy a slightly damaged clk55 ( as i can't afford the perfect ones) i took the vin to a mercedes dealer and he gave me the full print out of everything including the odometer being changed a few thousand km before
Lkevon Posted June 12, 2003 Posted June 12, 2003 Be aware that the 90,000 service will be soon for that vehicle. It willl be the most extensive and costly of all services. Both the timing belt and spark plugs will most likely be part of that. The car probably has been sitting on the lot since last june so that could be questionable as to why and if service is performed accordingly. Maybe you can check that vin# out at another lexus dealer for the service history. Kevin
