:huh: The other day my 1990 LS door lock would not work, so called AAA to open door, power doors lock would not work, put the key in the ignition and turned it, cluster came alive, but would not start, so i bought a new battery, still same problem, would not crank, talked to a mechanic and he said the alarm might be problem which disabled everything, need to reset or what. Need help :chairshot:

i would agree if you have an aftermarket alarm

t needs to be reset by pulling the fuse and reintalling it

depending on the type

usually powering off the car by unpluggin the batter resets evertyhing including the alarm, try to disconnect the terminal again, wait for 90 secs and plug it back on, usually all basic alarms would arm themselves at that moment and start "screaming", unlock the car with the remote and try to start.
