steviej Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 This is the before: 16" stock silver 9 spoke with Bridgestone Potenza RE92 215/60-16s.
steviej Posted June 9, 2003 Author Posted June 9, 2003 This is the after: 18" chrome Enkei LM1/5S with Toyo Proxes FZ4 235/40-18s. (PS, how do you guys get pictures in your posts without the "download" file crap. I can't get the pic. itself, instead I always get a button to click on.)
steviej Posted June 9, 2003 Author Posted June 9, 2003 I did this on this past Sat. I am getting used to the Proxes. They make more noise than the stock, but it corners like nobody's business. I feel the bumps more, but that was expected. I think I have to find others with low profile tires to see if I am missing something or if what I am feeling is expected. What do you guys think of the new look????? steviej
SW03ES Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 Hey Stevie, they look great! The only way I found to make the pictures pop onto the post is to link them on a server and use the IMG code. I use www.imagemagician.com I'm not sure why they dont pop up, I'll talk to Matt and Steve about it.
ProZac Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 steviej, Looks Great man!!! Looks kinda Race-car ish :) Good buy! are ya gonna lower your ride a bit too??? ProZac
amf1932 Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 steviej: I have an '03 ES and I was wondering where you got the rear deck spoiler from. It looks really nice! :) I haven't seen too many spoilers for the '02-'03 models. Did the dealer install it, and if so approximately how much $ did it cost? Alan
Matthew_McNally Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 (PS, how do you guys get pictures in your posts without the "download" file crap. I can't get the pic. itself, instead I always get a button to click on.) simple! post the picture in The Gallery - you can then link to the images in your forum post. B)
SW03ES Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 Hey Matt, I couldnt figure out how to do that.... Did you get my PM?
SKperformance Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 they look real hot but omg your car looks so big that your 18's look like sock 16's maybe you should have gone with 20's lmao now stevie is gona go cruising for hot chicks in his hot car all pimped out i am only teasing
steviej Posted June 10, 2003 Author Posted June 10, 2003 skp, funny you mentioned 20s. The tire guy wanted to do that. I thought I would look like an Audi Allroad, you know all jacked up in the air. I think I stick with the 18's for the summer. I am getting used to the ride, it is not as soft as the stock 16s'.......but I was told to expect this. The Toyos are a little noisier. Overall, lots of looks, and most of all, I like them. Alan, the spoiler was bought at and installed by my dealer. $650 BUT (there is always a but, but this is a good but) you can get the same exact spoiler, with mounting hardware, wiring, painted in factory Lexus paint, and shipped to your house for about $300 less from www.spoilerdepot.com. That is where the dealer gets them from. steviej check it out.
ridenalexus Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 I don't know but I think the tires could have been a 45 or 50...you look like you have the clearance for it and it probably would give you a better ride
