Hey! So, a few weeks ago we had a really bad storm, and rain got into my '99 rx300, it messed with the radio and now the volume is super quiet even when turned all the way up; I've tried disconnecting the battery to try and reset it, but that didn't do anything

Please help, because I have no idea what the issue is, there's still sound it's just very very quiet.

CoPilot: Since you've already tried disconnecting the battery and it didn't help, here are a few more steps you can try:

  1. Check the Fuses: Make sure the fuses related to the radio and audio system are not blown. Refer to your owner's manual for the exact location of these fuses.

  2. Inspect the Wiring: Look for any signs of water damage or corrosion on the wiring connected to the radio. Water can cause short circuits or damage to the electrical components.

  3. Reset the Radio: Some radios have a reset function that can be accessed by pressing a combination of buttons. Check your owner's manual for instructions on how to reset the radio.

  4. Professional Inspection: If the above steps don't work, it might be best to have a professional technician inspect the radio and audio system. They can diagnose the issue and recommend the appropriate repairs.

It's possible that the water damage has affected the radio's internal components, such as the amplifier, which could explain the low volume issue. A professional inspection can help determine the exact cause and the best course of action.
