Need Help-1995 Es Seat Problem

The driver seat on my 95 ES all of a sudden will not work right. All of the adjustment function work except for one.

The bottom of the seat in the back will not move up and down anymore. The front of the seat still goes up and down, but the back(like where your butt sitts) will not move up or down It makes noise when you push the button, but that's it.

Anyone know what the prob could be?

I have same issue, i bet its one of the wires that goes to the motor thats broken

I doubt if it's a broken wire, since he said, "It makes noise when you push the button, but that's it."

If the wire was broken it wouldn't make any sound at all.

Ah true, well mine doesn't make sound, so i guess its different :x, for him then, the motor is broken!!!!

If the motor is broken, how come all the other functions are still fine?

if a cog breaks the motor runs and does nothing.

got to take the seat out to repair

how hard is seat removal? will I be able to see what prob is?

i would say that you should take the 4 bolts out of the seat and lean it out the door. then have someone hit the switch, and you sit in the pasanger seat and look under the seat. i would bet the motor moves (because you said it is making noise) and the output shaft moves, but the threds on the output shaft is stripped.
