norbertk Posted September 13, 2004 Share Posted September 13, 2004 Everything was going fine when I got home and the car was fine when I parked it. After a few hours, I went back to my car to run to the store, and after pulling forward to move out of the way of a car, I put my car in reverse, and there was a hard shift. I began to roll backwards and then I heard a loud thump, and the car felt like it went into neutral. I tried to continue and it went very slow, and kept slipping.. I put it back into drive, and it went fine forward.. All other drive gears work fine. The transmission fluid is fine, and at it's normal level. I don't remember the last time it was changed, but a new transmission was placed into the car about 4 years ago. Anyone have any ideas?
