mikekifla Posted August 28, 2004 Posted August 28, 2004 If you live in US or Canada and want really cheap car insurance, go to http://www.investingtutorial.com/Incurance.htm and click on the second banner from the top. They give free instant quote and it is very cheap. My insurance on my Lexus was around $500 per 6 months and their quote was $320. It takes 2 minutes to calculate quote. First banner from the top is also insurance company that gives instant quotes but their quotes are higher.

Getting it back if you have an accident is often a different story. Do your homework and check various rating agencies before changing to a no-name insurance company. Insurance is one of those things where the cheapest is rarely the best.
dropspace Posted August 28, 2004 Posted August 28, 2004 agreed if you cause any property damage or are liable for injuries, try getting a fair shake from those cheap agencies. it can seriously put you back a lot of money. go with a reputable insurance company. look at independent reviews of people that have really had the worst happen to them, it will tell a lot.
SW03ES Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 I'd also not be too thrilled about a company that misspells "Insurance" in their web address.
steviej Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 I was waiting for someone to notice this. The duplicate threads were rightly removed (not by me). I didn't follow suit with the removal of this one because two people had replied and I wanted to see if anyone commented. SW, you win the prize. I just don't know what the prize is yet. steviej
