SCDAN Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Does anyone know how to remove tree sap from paint without damaging the clear coat? Do you think I may need the car buffed? It's triple black. thanks
silvermate Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 try some quick detailer and a clay bar..........that outta do the trick ;)
steviej Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 try the "bug and tar remover" handywipes that you can get at Autozone and the like. I think Turtle Wax makes some. Once removed, wash the area with soap and water. steviej
David_Ostroff Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Take a read of this article on lexuscarcare that explains how to get rid of the tar. Tar Removal
FreddT Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 Try Goo Gone or Goo whatever-it's at Lowes and Home Depot-doesn't hurt the finish, and removes almost everything.
Geo Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 I just heard on a car show that you can use plain old mayonaise to remove tree sap. Cant hurt to try. George
