e_piph_a_ny
Where can I replace the key for the wheel locks on my wheels? Is the dealer the only option (and then pay mucho $$)? thanks for the assist
steviej
If you have the code for the lock, you can usually go through the manufacturer. My 02 came with McGard locks. The card with the code was in a ziplock bag in the glove compartment. The card also had the info for ordering extra keys and locks directly from McGard. The locks lugs were ~ $8 and the the key was ~ $10. If you don't have the code you could replace the entire set (if you felt necessary) ~ $40 online (from www.lexus-parts.com). steviej
SKperformance
you HAVE to get an oem nut base but any company that makes the right curve on the nut is fine
es3doubleO
I think that its easier and faster to buy a new set of wheels locks then buying just the key. The key usually is not in stock but the new set of wheels locks are. imo.
steviej
I always like to have and extra key and an extra lock lug around "just in case". Never had any problem or delay ordering them as long as I have the code. steviej
e_piph_a_ny
Thanks guys for your help. I managed to locate the missing key after all. My problem was that the wheel locks were on the wheels and if I had a flat, it would look very baaad for me. I checked the glove compartment and did not find any key code card. I would like to get an extra key "just in case" but not sure how to.
