Mungrin Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Decided to take out my headlights and clean them out to get rid of fogging and condensation. As soo as i was done and put them back togther and put them in my car they instantly fogged up and its not raining or anything.I gues i will have to buy new headlights after all. What a bummer.
dcfish Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Make sure the seals around the lens is tight and drill 2-3 small holes 1/8th inch in the bottom and top of the assembly where they can not be seen and keep the lights on to disperse the condensation , this should CLEAR THINGS UP .
Zigzag Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 I tried the drilling solution, didn't work for long. Finally I attached rubber tubing (windshild washer type) to the drains( leave the vent alone) on each headlamp then routed it into the air inake box.
bobsvilla Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 I tried the "reseal", didn't work for me either. I think I'll try Zigzag's method, the vacuum coming from the air box will lower the air pressure inside the headlite and should cause the moisture to evaporate. .....bob
