DobieG Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 Hello.. My friend has an integrated key for a 2000 ES300. Does anyone know what type of battery it takes? I don't have the key in front of me, otherwise I would do the obvious...open it up and look. :P I want to have the battery handy so I can change it for her the next time I see her. I'm assuming that all I have to do is unscrew the tiny screw, pop in the new battery, then tighten the screw. If there's any other info I may need to know, please let me know. Thanks! DG
steviej Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 my key has a CR1616 3v lithium battery in it. Dobie, I don't know if the 2002 and 2000 keys are the same. Mine is the fat head key that has the 3 buttons integrated in to it. steviej
es300ed Posted July 13, 2004 Posted July 13, 2004 I have a fat head key for my 1996 es300. I have needed to replace the battery twice. Both times I had the dealer parts department do it. One time I wasn't charged anything; the other time I was charged something like $5. It was convenient to just have them do it. Ed
