cosmicfireball Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 ....should one replace this part...are there any indications that it should be changed? Thanks in advance.
jzz30 Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 not sure how long they last or at what interval they are recommended to be change at but eventually your car will flash a check engine and if you pull the code your car will tell you when she wants an new one
cosmicfireball Posted June 30, 2004 Author Posted June 30, 2004 Thanks....but would it be to the engines advantage to change it BEFORE the code comes on?
soarer479 Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 hmm on an 02 sensor you should be fine just wait for your engine to throw a signal and scan it to make sure thats the problem then simply replace
johnny3 Posted July 1, 2004 Posted July 1, 2004 I'd wait til it sets a trouble code, I've seen the O2 sensors last 200k plus.
cosmicfireball Posted July 1, 2004 Author Posted July 1, 2004 Thanks for your suggestions...I'll wait 'till it 'throws the code'....I guess it is placed under the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' category....
hvrod Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 about the passenger side seat postion.. under the seat..
hvrod Posted July 2, 2004 Posted July 2, 2004 I would say at 50,000 to replace.. them before at 25,000 to clean them..
cosmicfireball Posted July 2, 2004 Author Posted July 2, 2004 Oh...it's a '92 Sc300.....and I've seen where the 'main'O2 sensor sits above the block...there are others,as well for the straight six?
