This is the type of floor jack i have... and i tried jacking up the car.. but it didnt lift it high enough off the ground for me to put some jack stands next to my jack... is this a cruddy jack? http://www.discountshoppingsite.com/hardwa...2593--32812.htm

basically, the jack is only going up to 11" when the maximum is 16 1/2" inches. and i need atleast 14 " for the jack stands... its a hydraulic floor jack with a max of 3 tons

Well, since i cant really place the jack stands under it since my jack has a max lift height of 16.5" and is only hitting around 11", cant i just use two jacks - a scissor jack and my 3-ton floor jack- and just lift one side up and find the 3 drain !Removed! and drain it?

I think you can still use your jack at the spots in the owner's manual if you put in a THICK (2-3 inches thick of hardwood) square-shaped piece of wood BETWEEN the circular head on the jack AND the jack spot on the car:

------\-----/------------------ CAR

===== SQUARE PIECE OF WOOD

\=====/ CIRCULAR HEAD ON JACK
