lexxus Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 My girlfriend's 300 needs tires. I'm going with H rating instead of V, because she drives like a gramma and has little money. But I'm confused. One guy says the new Dunlops are really great, last 50K, cost about $70 apiece. But I like Pirellis, which I could get for the same price(but I don't think that they last as long). Anybody really know about tires? What's the best tire in this price range?
bean_8044 Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 If you go to www.tirerack.com they have a wide selection and most importantly a buyer review of the tires. Theres usually alot of reviews for every tire and you can search by cost
SW03ES Posted June 25, 2004 Posted June 25, 2004 In my experience Dunlop tires have very poor treadwear.
Mr.Blonde845 Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 continentals are really good tires i have them on my sc400
blueviol Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 I had a bad experience with the stock Continental tires. They have very poor water tread and had a 180 turn on a highway in rain. I've used Dunlop ZR and Bridgestone Potenza ZR and liked them both a lot. Now it's fitted with Yoko's and they provide strong grip and very quite ride at the same time. Yes, I used the Tirerack rating system determining the performance and characteristics.
