  1. Does this apply to all years of the Rx400h? Or is it specific to 06 vs 07 and 08?
  2. My cousin has an 07 Rx350 and she loves it. She's had it since when the 07's first came out, and i don't think she's had any problems with it. I have the Rx400h which is basically the same as the Rx350 as far as interior parts goes. I too couldn't get my entire phonebook to transfer, i had to manually input them myself. The bluetooth is a nice feature though. Tomorrow i am going to type up a nice tutorial of things new owners of the 07-09 Rx's should know about. I've learned a lot of nice little "tricks"/"hacks" etc that most people may not know exist. I thought it would be nice to have them all bundled with pictures and instructions etc. I love the Rx's. I like the 04-09 style much better than the 010...
  3. I didn't particularly like his methods of "yelling" and use of "annoying tactics" to get attention, but heck, it did the job. He was a marketing genius for sure...
  4. Yeah, the same type of noises come on after it's started too. Even if the car's off and i open a door, the thing makes a noise... Very odd.
  5. SW, thanks for pointing that out! You're right, the texture is indeed different. The 06-07 GS's however have the same texture as the Rx's, and i'm pretty sure the wheels would also fit since the "frames" are the same. Steering wheel+airbag for the 06-07 GS's: Here's the 08 Rx400h wheel+airbag: I really like the radio control buttons etc of the GS's better than the Rx's. All the controls are, are momentary switches. I would just take the boxes apart and wire them on the RX plugs, shouldn't be very hard... The GS buttons even match the RXh buttons too! My biggest and only worry is the airbag during an accident. Even if both airbags have two plugs, would it necessarily mean they'd both deploy the same?
  6. hey guys. Anyone think the steering wheel+airbag from the 07-09 ES will fit and work on the 04-09 Rx's? There are two airbag plugs for the rx Everything minus the buttons on the wheels etc...
  7. Are the ones on ebay just as good? There are some that claim to work on the Rx's for a little over $100...
  8. Thanks! There's a lot of info there.
  9. Hey guys. I've been thinking about getting chrome wheels for my Rx400h, but i'll need a winter set as well. I think ill have my present ones chromed (or have them switched for chrome ones) which will leave me with nothing when the winter months come. So, i'm in need of 4 oem rx400h wheels. I'm looking on ebay and have found only two priced less that $150+shipping... I'd like to get the set of 4 for under 600 or somewhere around there. Anyone know somewhere else i could try? I don't need them to look pretty (meaning they can have slight curb rash and chips etc) they just need to be the rx400h style and be true and round and hold air. Since i'll use these for my winter months, i don't care how they look... any input appreciated! Thanks
  10. haha :P I'm glad i'm not the only one noticing these noises, it was freaking me out! I wonder what's causing these noises? obv something to do with the hybrid system i guess...?
  11. Hey guys/gals. This is my first Rx400h so i'm not sure if this is normal or not. I notice that every time i turn the car off after a short or long trip, i hear several noises coming from the engine compartment. There will be a series of whines, ticks etc, just "interesting" noises. They are present whether i've had the AC on or off as well. I've never heard these types of noises in the standard gas powered car. I'm not talking about the 'ticking' from the hot engine any gas powered car makes while cooling, these noises are definitely different. Just wanted to see if anyone else's makes noises after being turned off? It's a 2008 AWD Rx400h with 43k miles, no accident history, still under warranty. I would bring it to the dealer about the noises, but if they're normal i don't want to look like an idiot lol. Thanks!
  12. And it's only attached to the bottom by two little 1x1cm pieces of thin double sided tape... pretty cheap.
  13. actually i double checked, the cupholder in my car doesn't have it, but the one in the spare actually DOES. It's really thin true. Glad i got the spare lol now I've got one. Didn't even know i was missing one.
  14. Oh yeah, close to $80k i looked
  15. haha no way lol... it sounds like a scam to me anyways...
  16. Thanks SW, really seems so :)
  17. Really?? Jeesh never thought about that... Oh well too late now... I'd better get "lifelock"! lol
  18. Yeah they were factory on some of the Rx300's :( I used to think the "factory" chrome Rx300 rims were special, then i found out Lexus just outsources someone to chrome them and Lexus charges way more for them... But at least they'd be under lexus warranty i guess...
  19. Hogwash :P If someone wants to steal my identity let them go ahead. I have no assets, no income, nothing in my name, haha. Not much to steal there lol. If that were true then anyone who sees me on the road could do the same.
  20. Hmm, no pad on mine nor on the spare i bought. Do you have a picture of one with it?
  21. Only the steering wheel and shifter are made in leather as well as leather & wood. To eliminate the rest of the wood trim- what would go in the wood's place? Lexus doesn't make the wood in any other material. You could paint it though? Don't know what else you would want to be in the wood's place...
  22. Well thanks for your advice SW. I'll keep it in mind i guess? lol
  23. Apparently lol... Well i still like them <_<
