  1. The time almost has come to do 90k on my 96 LS. So the question is....what realy needs to be done??? From what I understand, timing of course, fuel filter and spark plugs. I also think water pump should be replaced....Can anybody help me out with this list? I don't want to miss anything. I would appreciate any help Thanx, Leon
  2. Thats exactly right - too many choices, thats why I just need some of your experiences and suggestions.....
  3. I'm thinking of replacing my rotors and pads. I did decide on the Brembo slottet rotors but having a hard time deciding on the pads. Does anyone have a suggestion or experience? Which one would be the best to use with Brembo? Composite? ceramic? Any comments would be highly appreciated.
  4. Battery? Alternator? To me its sounds more like a fuses or in worst scenario - electrical short somewhere Even if the car would run on battery only, what it has to do with the dash pannel and shifter not working? :whistles:
  5. Here is the problem for you all. I brought my 96 LS400 for tinting, or actually retinting. After all the work was done, the car went dead. Doesn't start. In the past I had my dome light on for the night, but it starts fine in the morning. Now they tryed to jump start, and here is what happens: The car would start, but only for a minute All the lights on the dash is NOT on Shifter wouldn't shift. I've been told that it could be happening because of moisture inside the car, but somehow I don't think so. Could it be just a battery? Or something serious?? I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.
  6. You may want to check out TM Engineering place in Carson. They do nice work and are very reasonable. You can check their website www.tmengineering.net

  8. Thanx for the reply. I was more concern though if the parts between earlier and later models would be interchangable. In other words if I would get me a Parts book for 92, would I be able to use the same part numbers for 96? Thanx
  9. I'm just curious how 1990-94 LS different from 95-97 models as far as parts and so on. Thanx

  11. Hi all, I'm looking for some little parts for the used 96 ls. So I was wondering if someone know any junk yards or places where I can get those parts ( such as hood shocks, floor mats hooks, etc). I'm in Orange County and would appreciate any help.
  12. I actually found a Toyota Pablications place and they have it for $120. I assume its good deal, but I'm still haven't found a Parts Microfiche.....
  13. Hi all!! I recently bought 1996 LS 400, and since I'm DYI type of man, I need to get me a Repair Manual and Parts book or microfiche. If anyone knows where to get those besides being raped by a dealer, please let me know. Thanx
