  1. Would that create a problem where it only happens once every 2 months though?
  2. We have a 2006 RX330. On a few occasions the talgate has attempted to open after pressing the key fob button (and having all doors unlocked), and it will only open about 1.5" or so and then close again. I took it to the dealer and since they could not get it to do this, they said they couldn't do anything. Any ideas? BTW outside temp was around 80 degrees every occurance. Thanks.
  3. Lenore- How about dust? I installed a pair of the Wagners too; they are great! No dust either.
  4. Thanks for the info. I have been wanting some of these too.
  5. I have a RX330 (2006) with navi. I can go to the climate screen and manully adjust the AC button with out using the Auto. Do you have NAVI?
  6. I'm interested. Are you certain that it will fit an RX330?
  7. Wow. A little harsh aren't you. I believe that this board is for everyone. Those that want to learn, and those that want to help others. BTW EVERYONE falls into the first category. Let's hope that someone else can speak up on the subject and help this guy out.
  8. Hi, I was doing some research on ordering the Mobil 1 (M1-102) filter for my Lexus as it seems $16 is a lot of $ at the local store. I came across a Tacoma site and people were recommending the larger M1-209 filter instead of the M1-102, for its additional filtering properties. I imagine that it is only a longer unit, which should have no problem fitting in a RX 330. Has anyone used this filter? Would the slightly larger size require any additional oil to be added when changing the oil? Also, has anyone had any luck ordering these filters online and saving money vs. purchasing them at Advance? Thanks.
  9. FZ6- Lexus factory manual says bleed REAR 1st. Start at the farthest wheel and work you way to the closest one. Lexus manual says bleed rear 1st or the front can't be bleed. Not my word, Toyota's. Thanks. I will try it your way this weekend.
  10. I am starting to have the same problem. Did you have any luck fixing this problem?
  11. Can someone please tell me the correct order for bleeding the brakes? I have seen it mentioned to start at the wheel closest to the master cylinder, but I have always heard to start at the furthest wheel. Can someone please confirm the correct order?
  12. bump Anyone have information on front mudflaps for a RX330?
  13. I was washing my wife's 2006 RX330 yesterday and noticed that I had to spend a lot of time cleaning the lower front door section behind the front tire's. Has anyone had luck with installing mud flaps on their Rx to alleviate this problem? Where were they purchased from? Thanks.
  14. Pretty darn easy: http://newtoncd.freehost10.com/files/Lexus...nstructions.pdf If that doesn't work for you, I can forward you the instructions that I just used.
  15. I believe the break wear indicator is the small silver piece that needs to be removed from the previous pads and reused on the new ones. Perhaps the last time the pads were changed, it was not put back on.
  16. I wonder if the gears are somehow stripped. Good luck with that!
  17. My wife had the car so I was not able to check out the switch position. But, before both sides dipped. However, the drivers side did not dip as nearly as much as the passenger mirror did.
  18. Last week I noticed on my 2006 RX330 that the drivers side mirror was not turning down when the shifter was placed into Reverse. Then a day or so later the passenger side mirror stopped doing this as well. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I just need to reset something or is it a bigger problem? As a side note, just prior to this happening, I updated my navi disk with the latest "burned" version. Thanks
  19. I had the same lights. The dealer said it usually is from a lose gas cap. They had to reset the computer with their equipment and the code went away. Good Luck
  20. Excellent summary. I will pull off each wheel today to take a look at the pads and see if they are worn out, and to see if something else is going on. On a side note, I do notice a "slight" pulse feel when I apply the brakes. If this is indeed the rotor, wouldn't I need to turn it to get rid of this? How else can I tell if the rotors are warped, without seeing obvious scratches on them from overly worn pads coming in contact with them? Thanks.
  21. Hello, I was driving my wife's 2006 RX330 yesterday when I noticed a squealing sound was present, almost always while driving and while braking. This is only heard when the window is down. I am guessing that the brake pads are near their end as I have heard a similar sound from my old Honda Prelude when it needed new pads. (I still am not sure why this is heard if you are not applying the brake .......) Anyway, with only 31k on the vehicle, as long as the pads still have some life to them, and the rotos are not scratched up, would I be doing myself a disadvantage by only replacing the pads and not the rotors? If so, wouldn't it be best to have the rotors turned, if they still do that kind of thing? I am confident that the caliber is not stuck as after driving 25 miles or so, A- I did not smell anything lawful. B- The wheels were not hot to touch. Lastly, I have done some searching on the site and have seen suggestions for brake pads everywhere from Auto Zone ceramic to Akebono ceramic brake pads. What do you guys (and gals) think? Thanks.
  22. It sounds like you may need to "neutralize" the windows. It should show you how to "reset" them in the owners manual. This can happen after a battery is changed on the car. Good Luck.
