  1. Glad you found the simple fix works for you. What did you lube them with and how long has it stopped making noise?

Well this is the easiest way to do it. Its easy , free and secure as no data is added beside the username you add. This is the greatest addition to help find other members near you. LOC map
  3. With no belt on it is defintaly not that. No easy answer without seeing/hearing the car in person.
  4. You know more about mainatance on an LS than i do as i just joined this part of the club. The pics have alot of shadow so i am not sure which part is wet or not. When you have an od leak i like to degrease the engine and then look for it since it will pin point much quicker.
  5. Quit the bullshyt Oh hell with it ,you are suspended costanza. Take a hike
  6. The kit looks cheap in person as it is just chrome vinyl stickers put on over the real grille. They never look smooth which is why they look cheap. could have just bought this one already registered and in BC http://cgi.ebay.ca/Toyota-Celisor-Lexus-LS...1QQcmdZViewItem
  7. A ball joint is just that a big ball socket with a base to hold it in place and a stud protruding from it. If it moves easily with a socket then it definatly has too much play and needs to be replaced. Usually there are nuts on the base as well to hold the stud steady while undoing the castle nut.
  8. I agree the CS is softer but the SS is cheaper with no dampener adjustment if cost is an issue but still want oem Lexus ride or as close to it with dropping a car.
  9. I am a true belive in the MR.clean thing too. After all the threads on here about it , i bought some today and cleaned more stuff that i didn't even know i wanted to . Had to hide doing it infront of the wife or she might have some more ideas for me to do. They actually have a wheel tire one i bought today also. It does not have the sponge backing to wipe dry so i will be trying it shortly.
  10. More details ! what was the car doing at that moment? What was it previously doing before then? Driving idleing parked off for a few days.................
  11. Neo , with the trunk on the LS there is no handle on the lid to close it so you have to press down on the paint . Not something i like to do with any car. It just gives me something that i don;t care getting fingerprints or scratching. I agree the last pic does look nice since the lights are off it cuts the lens flare and the apature being closed trying to compensate for the additional light. Thus it gives a brighter more detailed pic , also it is a larger megapixel size jpg.
  12. Like the pics of tony's camry , actually was with him last night and noticed them when we were pulling onto the highway giving people rides.
  13. Here is one more pic with the lights off someone else took during the meet when i was not looking. Don't have a link for the 5 led multi firing 194 bulb.I got them from eBay for about $10 a pair. The bulbs on the license plate are piaa extreme white bulbs i bought about a year ago for $5 at a wholesaler clearout.I never thought i would use them but i liked them more than using a set of led's
  14. I would use a higer viscosity oil to prevent the glow by gases. Also a nice product like seafoam before an oil change will help the seals to expand and seal better . It is not really urgent but keep an eye on your oil consumption.
  15. Mr.clean magic eraser should work on them quite well . Hell the things does wonders on any course surface
  16. I believe 20's are for large sedans , anything bigger is for Suvs only and anything that does not at least have 300hp should be under 20's for sure. I have no sponsors for any of my cars, i love them and mod them accordingly. The little handle is actually a MB accessory part. I used to see them all the time when i worked for MB as a lease return inspector and never gave them a second thought. Until i bought my LS and realised it was lacking something to close not open. I then remembered it and asked some of my friends to look out for one but no one ever saw them. It is a MB oem accessory for the SL, S , CL and a few others. On MB cars they have upper and lower bolts so they usually mount under the plate but ours is only above. I may add some bolts and attach it to the plate itself on the bottom but for now it works great. Still have all this stuff at home waiting to install the body kit with the 3 piece spoiler colour match both sets of rims ,stock ones and the 20's colour match the grille paint the headlight eyelids redo the exhaust piping with 2 borla 2-1's for the y pipes wood leather wheel and shutter might get a set of 9005 yellow bulbs for the high beams so my drl's will be a nicer yellow when they are on.
  17. Nissan Skyline r34 has the most timeless rear lights Bmw with cealis led set up lincon mark VIII flurocent spread setup rear lights
  18. They are easy to change ,buy a puller set or borrow one from a parts store for free. Mark the inner tierod so you can adjust the nut back into place but you will still need an alignment after 100%
  19. And it is not the shock leaking onto it ,right?
  20. congates and welcome Blue smoke at startup is usually from valve stem seals dripping down oil when the car is off and cools.
  21. There is a screen in the tranny not a filter as such since it is not a replacable or servicable part. It could use a cleaning every so often though when flushing the fluid.
  22. A very nice car the rims are a bit big but they still flow with the car to give it the Factory prototype look they do with massive wheels. I thought i would not like a wheel that big on a smaller car but it actually fits the car nicely. You did it right and it works, although it would scare the !Removed! out of me driving them daily on the road with potholes and such. Do they rub at all since you pushed the fender lip back?
  23. Ok i had the HID's for a while but took them out of my Civic i don't use for now. Put them in the foglights ad can't belive the difference. I thought i loved my HIR bulbs which are gerat but don't come close to these things. Had a friend take the shots at tonight's Toyota/Lexus meet. Got another shot of the anodized calipers peeking through the rims also. You can see the clear corners and the 5 LED bulb which actually fills the whole reflector unlike most LED's. Also bought a little Chrome handle that attaches the the license plate bolts to close the trunk easier.I love it since it cannot be seen unless you are looking for it. Just look above the plate for a slight shadow and that is it . And yes that is a JDM Skyline parked next to me.RHD got to love it.
  24. If you need to bang on the horn pad to activate your hron then you need to fix or replace the horn switch.
  25. Call the lexus parts department. Easiest way to find out other than going to visit one and see the exploded pics
