The date code for a Johnson Controls Battery, like the 6KEQ2, is typically stamped on the top of the battery. It’s almost always the first number and first letter1. For example, a code like “B7” would mean the battery was manufactured in February 20071. However, the exact location and format can vary, so it’s best to check the battery carefully. If you’re still having trouble finding or deciphering the code, you might want to contact Johnson Controls directly for assistance.

- Halogen headlights use a tungsten filament inside a bulb. When electric current passes through the filament, it heats up and generates light.
- They differ from regular incandescent bulbs in that they have a dose of halogen gas instead of argon gas. This allows the filament to burn hotter, thus giving off more light.
- Halogen headlights are typically yellowish in color.
- They were the standard for the auto industry for years because they were cheap to manufacture and simple to replace.
- The downside is that halogen bulbs must be made of special glass and handled in such a way that you don’t leave fingerprints on them. These can cause a hot spot on the glass, which can cause the bulb to fail within minutes.
- HID headlights use an electric arc between two electrodes and a high-pressure gas (typically xenon) to generate light.
- HID headlights create a much more powerful light - measured in thousands of lumen - for a given amount of wattage used.
- The resultant light created by the plasma is extremely bright and white in color.
- They are more efficient compared to halogen bulbs but also more expensive.
In summary, while halogen headlights are cheaper and simpler, HID headlights are more efficient, brighter, and have a whiter light. However, the design of the headlight assembly and the reflectors also affects performance, along with how well the headlights are aimed1.

The buzzing and whining noise from your Lexus radio could be due to a few different factors:
- Electrical Feedback from the Alternator: This is the most common culprit. The alternator’s electrical frequency can be picked up by an ungrounded audio connection, which then transmits a whining sound through the car’s speakers1.
- Ground Loop Interference: This can occur if there’s a ground loop issue with your RCA cables, especially if a new head unit or amp has been recently added1.
- Loose Wire: A loose wire from any of your stereo’s components and associated wiring can also cause a whining noise

You may have ground loop interference. A ground loop can be caused by an ungrounded audio connection which will pick up the electrical frequency from the alternator. This frequency is then transmitted to a whining sound through the speakers in the car, which will get higher and louder the higher the engine is revved.

You may want to ask the vendor/manufacturer of the wiring harness. If it is a dealership item, the parts department person should be able to cross-reference the two vehicle's part numbers to see if they're the same.
-
You should be able to use Goo-Gone or if you're very careful, acetone. Be sure to waer neoprene gloves or equivalent.

The running voltage of a 2002 Lexus ES300, when the engine is running, should be between 13.5 and 14.8 volts1. This can be measured at the battery terminals. If you switch on the accessories in your car, for example, headlights, AC fan at full speed, and interior lights, the voltage should remain around 14 volts. If it drops and remains below 13.5 volts, it indicates a problem with the current supply from the alternator1.

The key here is to:
Look up this year RX's maintenance schedule.
Try to find out if the owner followed that schedule and either has receipts or record of dates on which he did the work.
If the vehicle had been well-maintained and there is written proof, you may still want to have a Lexus dealership inspect it. -
I use 3D waterless car wash for daily touchups, if required. It's only if the vehicle is filthy from mud and dirt will I wash the entire vehicle. Sometimes the dealer sells the vehicle with add-ons to increase its profit. My recent new car purchase had a medical emergency kit, anti-theft lug nuts, carbon fiver side view mirrors, and an emblem of some sort that no one at the dealership has been able to identify.

I believe the tires are covered by the manufacturer if one of the tires is defective. If the tire was incorrectly mounted, then Lexus should cover its replacement. In other words there should be a built-in warranty.

i think you'll find its 100x zoom... when you select 10, look right and you will see it goes up to 100.
Stylus is great, also use it on my touchscreen of my car as the screen is worn in the lower section and helps navigate easier without feeling you have sausages for fingers. Great phoneYes, 10X is optical and beyond is digital. I believe. iPhones go up to 5X, only based upon what I've seen.
Other uses for the stylus:
Translate or zoom in imbedded text.
Mark up images with high precision.
Remotely take photos or videos from 20 ft away.
Take quick notes that you don't have to save; they are saved, automatically. -
Love my Samsung S23 Ultra for two main reasons:
1. The camera is amazing (10x optical zoom is just one reason.)
2. The stylus is so far beyond anything Apple has (which is no stylus).
I even use it to present Powerpoint slides. It does so many things!- 1

Did you ask them why they are recommending a change? Is there a "severe service" schedule that lists more frequent changes? I agree that most likely, it is not yet necessary to do.
-
Now that was a brain-twister! I'm glad you figured it out.👍

The o-rings are typically specified by inside diameter and cross-section diameter, most likely in millimeters. You will need calipers or an o-ring size cone. Have you verified that this component is or is not available, separately?

Welcome, Max. Have you checked the electrical connectors for loose fits or corrosion?

I wish I could add my 2 cents, Charles but I live in California. Most of my carpet maintenance is simply vacuuming each, every 6 months or so, and cleaning them with carpet cleaner every few years.

The issue with your 1992 Lexus LS400’s odometer, stereo/radio display, and center console panel not lighting up could be due to a few potential reasons:
-
Faulty Instrument Cluster: The instrument cluster, which houses the odometer and other gauges, could be faulty1. This could be due to mechanical or electrical issues. If the problem persists even after replacing the instrument cluster, it might be an issue with the small circuit board that it plugs into1.
-
Electrical Issues: Electrical issues could cause the odometer and other displays to malfunction2. This could include problems with the wiring, fuses, or the battery. It’s recommended to check the battery and ensure the terminals are clean for good contact3.
-
Faulty Stereo LCD: The issue with the stereo/radio display not lighting up could be due to a faulty LCD4. You might consider ordering a whole LCD indicator assembly instead of just the LCD itself4.
Please note that these are potential issues.

Since your RX is new, you may want to have the dealership's service person tell you whether that sound can be "coded out" by them or whether you can do it, yourself.

I ended up bleeding the cooling system and now it works perfectly. Easy to do as well! Thank you so much for your help!
Anytime, Arthur! I'm glad it worked out.👍

My RX400h was "Made in Japan" but it was not registered in Japan. It was certainly imported from Japan.
I did find this:
QuoteChanging the display settings from metric to imperial in a 2008 Lexus RX 350 can be a bit tricky. Here’s what I found:
- For the temperature display, it seems that the ability to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius is not a customizable feature according to the Lexus repair manual1.
- For the odometer and other distance-related displays, it appears that they are fixed in their original format (miles or kilometers) and cannot be easily changed2. One suggestion was to replace the BODY ECM-ECU (Electronic Control Unit/Module) with one from a vehicle that uses the desired measurement system2. However, this could be costly and potentially void your warranty3.
- Another option mentioned was to use a programmer to convert the miles to kilometers2. However, this might also have implications for your warranty and should be done by a professional.
-
Maybe try this:
QuoteTo delete all the addresses from the Navigation System in your 2008 RX 350, you can follow these steps:
- Touch the “Menu” button on the dash.
- Navigate to the “My Places” switch.
- Select the “Delete” switch1.
You should be able to figure it out from there.

Hello, Charles.
I don't think any part you buy, except tires and batteries have more than a year warranty, do they? If you buy a $4000 TV from Best Buy, the manufacturer's warranty is probably 1 or 2 years at the most.
This is 2023; the days of inexpensive parts left the station, long ago.
