Its more than that, if its fully loaded its past $38k. Invoice is about $34k, maybe 34.5 so 28k would be $6,000 below invoice, totally impossible unless the car was a demo, and thats even unlikely.

This is why I stay away from chrome wheels, especially aftermarket chromes.

That may or may not have caused the problem, that looks to me like the belts have shifted, I bet that was from the bad rack.

I agree 100%, 28k for a loaded ES is not possible...

CL is ClubLexus, another Lexus site. It may remove dirt from the leather surfaces but I bet its loaded with harsh cleaners and I'd be afraid it would strip the dye. I'd use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Should work as well but no cleaners to harm the leather and plastic surfaces.

First of all switch from 100% cotton to Microfiber. That will end your linting problems. My ES has a black interior, and the cleaner I like to use is Griots Interior Cleaner (www.griotsgarage.com). Its a nice mild cleaner (you can even use it on leather, although I don't). Leaves the dash material with the matte look its supposed to have from the factory. You can use this on the buttons too. As for the dust, I use this: (http://www.properautocare.com/dashduster.html) its treated with an agent that will keep dust from coming back and it does a great job. You can carry it in the glove box. For the wood I use this: (http://www.properautocare.com/plexus.html) The wood is topped with a plastic coating to protect it. This will shine it up and it will resist fingerprints with successive uses. Also works well on the instrument cluster lens and the nav screen. That should set you up! Get some good MF towels while you're at it.

Its the weight, it weighs about 700 lbs more than an ES. Its also less aerodynamic. Its definately not 50/50, probably never is depending on the slippage, its more like 90/10.

Yep it has regenerative braking, its supposed to be smoother than on the Prius though. Thats a good thing, the Prius always feels to me like it needs brakes because the regenerative brakes grind metal to metal.

Naa it should be the same. The AWD RX is a little bit heavier which might make some difference, but not much. The RX is front biased AWD, it basically is FWD all the time unless there is slippage occuring then it shunts some power to the rear. Where the power is going doesnt make any difference in noise.

Actually no, the engine in the 400h is not atkinson cycle like the engine in the Prius is.

You thought wax was a gimmick too though ;) just kidding lol There's no reason to warm the car up. The majority of engine wear happens when the engine is cold, it takes the car longer to warm up when its idling then when its driving slowly, so its best to start it, let it fun for 10 seconds or so, and take off. The Lexus transmission is designed to hold gears longer when its cold to warm the engine up faster.

Treo central's what kept me from buying a Treo 650. No patches, just lots of problems with the operating system being unstable and requiring resets (some members there reset the phone 10-12 times a day) and they have extremely little memory for a PDA. Plus the bluetooth features are more geared towards the PDA than towards the phone, Bluetooth doesn work seamlessly with the car etc. I just don't think the PDA/Phone technology is quite there yet. The Treo 650 is the best one, but thats not saying much IMHO. Things like no voice dial etc, sure you can download a program for voice dial but its not integrated like it is on a phone.

Not all dealers have the pens. The pens are made by an outside company and they make reseller agreements with certain dealers. Best to just order it from www.autovisuals.com The bumper is plastic.

You CAN use touch up paint (I'd use a touchup pen) and since its low on the car it MIGHT not look too noticable...

We've been talking about the new 07 ES for a while LK lol. I've asked "ISELLLEXUS" to pony up the fee to become an authorized trader before he can continue to post, so there may be some delay hearing back from him.

There's no way he got a new ES for 28k unless its a totally base model. Monarch- Really? Not the case here on the east coast, like I said I've only ever seen one without the wood wheel.

alank- $28,000 for a 2005 ES330 with nav and levinson (fully loaded) is absolutely not possible, not new. Thats $7,000 below invoice, theres no way that price is legitimate. I had some bad experiences with Pohanka Lexus... Did they tell you to bring the car in at 2500 intervals?!?! Thats extremely overkill. Somethings rotten here... LexKid- The only way to get an 02+ ES without the wood/leather wheel in the US is to special order it. It is an option, but its an option 95% of all ES' shipped with.

The dealer will happily go looking for problems when the warranty is about to expire. Thats a common misconception, people think dealers do warranty work for free. They don't, they just charge Lexus for it instead of you. You can get service bulletins at www.alldata.com

I don't think the cupholders in the new ES are bad, Lexus' cupholder design has improved exponentially over the years, they used to be really poor. As for the turn signals thats a problem on all Lexus, they tried to make the click sound "muted and elegant" but in reality its way too soft. They've corrected this on some models.
