  1. Guys, I loaned my 91 LS400 to a buddy for the summer cuz I was out the country. I came back, and I don't know how, but he managed to bread the backrest on the drivers seat so that is twisted in the middle. Now, I can't get the back rest to come back up, cuz I guess he was driving while practically laying down in the car. I was gonna buy some seats off of ebay, but they are for a 96 ls400. Do you guys know if those seats would fit?
  2. I realize that this is an old thread, but just wanted to see what type of bulbs you used. Can I just go to Autozone and tell them that I have a 91 LS 400 and they can look up the bulbs for me?
  3. Never mind, i just went to their main web page and oredered the part :chairshot:
  4. The links don't work when I try to order either the blue or the white led's at http://http://www.luxurymods.com/ProductDe...ID=991&fid=1006 and http://http://www.luxurymods.com/ProductDe...ID=998&fid=1006 Can u guys verify that for me please?
  5. I'm sorry, he is selling his car, but doesn't want to include the rims with the car, that's why he's taking my stock rims... ← I personally would not put those rims on a LS they don't even look good on the GS. Way too gaudy for my taste but to each his/her own.:whistles: ← I like them though, but I wanted to see if the price is right and if it would have issues with the suspension...

  7. Hey guys, I had two quick questions in regards to some wheels on my 91 LS 400. My boss wants to trade me my stock tires and $700 for his 20's pictured below. I already have an extra set of tires for the winter and wanted to know if this is a good price, roughly $1000 for these tires. Also, are 20 inch rims too big? He has a GS 300 and he said that he did not have to do any modifications to his car, but I just wanted to ask you guys since you know a lot more about tires/rims than I do. Thanks in advance for your time, http://ohdam.com/pimp/johncar2.jpg
  8. I swapped out almost all of my fuses, and my clock is working fine!!! I think that the climate control does not get constant power if there is an issue with a fuse. To test this, I pulled out my dome fuse, and turned the car off. The clock would fade away, and after I truned the car on, the clock would reset to 1:00. I then put the fuse back in and the clock stayed on when I turned the car off. Please let me know if my thinking is right on this...
  9. I've been on several forum boards in the past, but you guys on here rock! Everyone is so polite, and I just want to say thanks for all the help. My new problem is that my front right tire is leaking air, and the people at Cassidy tire said that a set of four new tires would be $614 out the door. Now my issue is this, should I try to sell this 91 LS400 or go ahead and pay the $880 for the control arm and alternator, along with the $614 for the tires. That's more than $1500, and the car is a little over a month old! But the thing is, I seriously love the ride and the feel of the car, so it's a hard decision...
  10. Hey guys, I have some pdfs on my PC here, which might be helpful to y'all... Please let me know if this is not allowed though. I don't want to *BLEEP* anyone off... audiosys.pdf Frontdoor.pdf Radio.pdf Reardoor.pdf
  11. B) Cool, thanks for the quick respons and awesome links!!! How do you go about changing the control arm? If you don't mind, when u're done doing that this weekend, if I could maybe pm you or something for some pointers, or if you don't mind posting steps on the forum for other users also, i'd really appreciate it. I'll see what research I can do at home this weekend, tutorials and what not, but once again, thanks for the info...
  12. I just got my 91 LS400, 158,000 miles, a couple of months ago, and already, i've had to get a new battery, a brand new rack and pinion system, and now, my alternator is starting to go... I took it to a mechanic and he found two major issues with it. He said that my upper control arm is effed up and that he would fix that and my alternator for $880 out the door. Two questions: 1) Is this a good deal? 2) Am I better off just selling the car, or is $880, plus my other $275, just a part of normal wear and tear? Besides that, the mechanic said that the car is perfect, but i'm just not sure if i should fork up $880 for an upper control arm and an alternator. Thanks in advance for ur time, Gaz
  13. My clock is set just by pushing the hour and minute button. I have checked the radio, radio 2, and panel fuses, and they are all fine. I'm figuring that since it is being reset to 1, the constant power might not be getting to it? When you guys turn off your cars, does the clock stay lit, or does it go away after a while? Mine fades away after a couple of seconds. Also, I forgot to mention that I had Mikado Technologies fix my LCD screen...
  14. I had actually shown him both of those pictures, and he showed me that the screen is actually pretty clean. He recommended the part that I ordered because he said that it comes with a brand new steering rack solenoid filter screen and a new solenoid, as to cover all the bases and not to order parts later. Do you guys think that was sound judgement on his part?
