  1. Maybe you can use the following products- Eagle one- Wax As-U-Dry and Nanowax. Wax As-U-Dry is specifically designed to wax your car as you dry it. A special blend of water-reactive polymers and waxes provides that just hand-waxed look in one simple spray-on formula that saves you time and effort. Nanowax. The first polish and wax utilizing advanced Nano technology to fill fine scratches and conceal swirl marks. There- three steps including the wash. I can't make it easier without sacrificing quality and finish. Either way- this should take under 1 1/2 - 2 hrs worth of time, and I think thats cutting it close. (assuming you wash the car twice like I do, and clean the rims and tires)
  2. THanks steviej ! They will help, I'll try to install this on Monday/Tuesday and post pics! Thanks again, I appreciate it.
  3. what about this- Cabin Filter
  4. weird, i didn't think that was supposed to happen to them. I use a 2 synthetic chamois, one for the tops and sides of the car and one for the bottom cladding. I only use the microfiber towel to remove wax.
  5. I throw in STP Gas treatment... before every fill up.
  6. well the thing is, I heard it has to do with what you are describing is a safety issue. Seats are designed specifically for the car they are installed in. They have to meet certain state and federal saftey guidelines. (maybe not state, not sure). When you change the seats and install them in a different car, everyone worries. And with good reason, if there is a failure and a fatality , everyone loses and law suits start flying. IMHO
  7. the more i think about it, the more I agree with HRP ! B)
  8. Anyone know of a Mystery filter in a 1998 es that is in the glove box, above the cd changer>?
  9. then the question is, is there really such a "quick"way, if you want it done right? In my opinion, you better start with the proper foundation and do it right the first time, then maybe it can be "quick" afterwards. Honestly, i'd rather not take any short cuts- or just send it out to get detailed if you're short on time. I know alot of us don't have the time to do this, but I make the time. Besides, it's fun, and something of an accomplishment once I finish.
  10. How do you clean your Wheel wells , the winter and construction on i95 really did a job on them
  11. wow- that's enough proof for me to switch! thanks.
  12. clay magic is the way to go , I believe they invented the thing-
  13. thanks! I bought all the products at the local auto zone. I must be getting old, because I was exhausted after washing and working on just one side. The bottom molding needs to be clayed badly. I might ask one of the audio install places if I can rent a bay for a day to work on this car to make it look better. Sunday is the best day , because most shops are closed.
  14. you may need an update- i would check that the "firmware" is up to date.
  15. Eagle One NANOWAX is amazing- and no residue! I just used it 2 hrs ago- wow,.amazing, also posted pics.
  16. So i decided to use what the other members have posted on here and well, I'm impressed. They all worked- Eagle one- nano wax, Meguiar's scratch X, Febreze and Eagle one all wheel and tire cleaner. I should have clayed the car after the wash, but I can save that for early next week. These products worked well and smelled great! The other thing was, Nano wax offered a free rebate- so i just send it in an get reimbursed the price of the product. Also- Eagle one had the same deal going on. My car has never sparkled like this before. Imagine with some actual elbow grease! There was no residue either, so I didn't have to wash the car again. All I have to say is thank you to all the members who have posted their experiences on the board. I could not have done this with out your help. here are some awkward pictures.... some pics
  17. UPDATE! Just got back from the dealer with a new headlamp/light installed! Looks good but of course it doesnt match the other one. Hey- Extended warranty just saved me about $500.oo, so I am very happy! Update
  18. kewl- where can i get a set of 17's?
  19. awesome- If you don't mind, I have the net but I dont know where to install the hardware! you rock!
  20. thanks, can't see how its mounted though!
  21. I think only the coach versions came with the net. Not sure! 8)
  22. if you have one, can you post a pic of how it is installed- hooks screwed into the side? I need a visual. Thanks!
  23. I'm worried about my tranny and rear diff never being changed/flushed or radiator. With 60.5k , i'm thinking more about it. But, I'm from the old school of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I can see how i can change my thought process regarding important fluids such as the 2 mentioned above. My other saying is "you get what you pay for". I'll spare no expense to keep my car in top form without taken advantage of. As far as the tuneup- I was planning on having the local high performance shop replace my plugs and wires for me, with better than OEM equipment- any suggestions. This is my "cruiser", not a hot rod. I'd like to replace all parts on the car with better than OEM stuff, but not street racing.this is of course a Lexus, not a GTO. : :D
  24. what does the dealer normally charge for a transmission flush and change? and how long does it take?
